DDP is based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire and has traded profitably since 2004. We keep our costs low and our fees affordable by using specialist associates, selecting expertise as appropriate and in budget for each and every assignment.
DDP is wholly owned by its directors, Jonathan and Cate Dixon.
Jonathan has worked in economic regeneration and business support for well over 15 years. He served as Chief Executive of a £90m fund, Finance Yorkshire, offering unsecured loan, seedcorn and equity funding to SMEs from £15k to £2m and for 7 years prior to that, Jonathan was Deputy Chief Executive at South Yorkshire Investment Fund (SYIF). Leading to the launch of Finance Yorkshire, Jonathan secured finance from European Regional Development and Single Programme funds and from the banking sector including the European Investment Bank and opened new offices in Barnsley to make the fund’s first investment in June 2010.
Jonathan has worked across public and private sector business support - undertaking independent service evaluations, developing service proposals, business planning and fund finding for projects designed in direct response to business demand. These included a new-build 24,000 sq/ft innovation centre in Doncaster, an initiative to promote collaborative ventures between SMEs and a comprehensive innovation/incubation strategy.
Originally from the west country, Jonathan started his career in marketing with Dalgety Agriculture plc, manufacturers of animal feed and has since then worked in PR, advertising, management and enterprise development. He is a keen long distance cyclist and is planning a ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats!
